Internship/Work Study Job Description PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN
Girls Inc seeks a Public Relations and Marketing Intern who is excited to apply their academic knowledge to real-world writing, media relations, marketing and promotions scenarios.

• Assist in marketing of programs and organization.
• Assist in public relations for organization.
• Assist with community fairs and/or community events.
• Create press releases and print materials.
• Maintain database and records as needed.

• A current college student or college graduate.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to solve problems independently and show initiative
• Excellent phone skills (comfortable making phone calls to solicit for events)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications a MUST!! (especially Word & Excel)
• Interested in women/girls rights

• Length of commitment: One semester
• Hours: 10-30 hours per week (negotiable)

1) Explain your interest in working work a gender-specific serving organization 2.) What would you like to gain from this internship/work study? What about the opportunity specifically interests you?

Location/Transportation: Our main office is located in the Arlington area;
1627 Rogero Road Jacksonville, FL 32211. Girls Inc. additionally serves girls throughout the Jacksonville Community. Intern must have own transportation.
