The City of Jacksonville’s Sports and Entertainment Office attracts, hosts and creates opportunities that drive economic impact, accelerate the Jacksonville brand and improve the quality of life and cultural engagement for visitors and residents. Jacksonville hosts hundreds of diverse events each year making Northeast Florida a premier destination with rich tradition and world-class hospitality. The Sports and Entertainment Office includes the Office of Special Events and the Film and Television Office.


  • Research and develop a marketing plan to promote upcoming event to target markets
  • Write and edit various marketing publications in accordance with marketing plan (Examples: new releases, flyers, rack cards, web content, brochures, social media content, radio/television spots, articles, and newsletters)
  • Formulate and initiate a social media campaign to promote various events, as well as maintain social engagement metrics
  • Assist in the development, production, and submission of various print, digital, radio, and television advertisements
  • Assist in the production of an event marketing Return on Investment Report for event sponsors and partners
