Jacksonville Children’s Chorus

The mission of The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus (JCC) is to provide high-quality choral music education for children of diverse backgrounds, fostering teamwork, self-discipline, accomplishments and pride while filling an important cultural need in the community and sharing the beauty of the choral art form through artistically excellent performances.

Position Summary: The intern is responsible for providing support for the marketing department. The intern will report to the President and Marketing Director and assist with all business needs related to marketing and support.

The primary duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist with content writing for the website, blog, social media, sponsorship, and marketing collateral
• Assist with coordination and improvement of processes related to creative campaigns and program recruitment efforts
• Update current media matrix defining key offers
• Assist with event planning for tradeshows and other key events
• Collaborate with marketing director to create new ideas for the campaigns to support recruitment efforts
• Assist with project coordination
• Conduct Competitive Analysis
• Conduct Market Research
• Organize all print media for easy access and recruitment use
• Assist with Press Release distribution
• Assist with website and blog updates
• Assist with collateral updates and version control
• Other projects assigned

Job Requirements:

• Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Writing and proofing skills are also required
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
• Organized, dependable and detail oriented
