UF Health Jacksonville

The internship will focus on development events and activities related to the UF Health Jacksonville Office of Development. The variety of events/activities may include: Development Outreach Events, A Night at UF Health. UF Health Jacksonville Leadership Council Meetings, Run for Heroes 5K, Play Golf. Fight Cancer. Golf Classic and the A Night for Heroes Gala. Additional events/activities may be scheduled.

The internship will require 20 hours per week, with a set schedule. Interns that overlap with event dates may be required to staff events on nights and weekends.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with event planning and communications. Including but not limited to invitation lists, mailings, preparing event materials, setting up event sites
  • Event promotion through social media channels
  • Event follow-up including but not limited to breaking down event sites, preparing and sending invoices, and follow-up correspondence with guests
  • Communication with volunteers and sponsors via email, phone or in-person meetings
  • Preparing itineraries and agendas and work in donor database
  • Assisting the Director of Development with business related correspondence, reports and materials
  • When appropriate, the intern will be invited to attend meetings

Dress code is business professional. The Office of Development works closely with UF Health leadership and UF College of Medicine expects interns to look and act professional at all times. Interns will be required to complete all orientation steps prior to the first day of internship.
