This position  is responsible for assisting the Hubbard House Development Department with  event  production, marketing communications, and public relations.


  • An individual who is currently pursuing or has obtained a degree in communications, public relations, marketing  and/or related  fields.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledgeable in social media a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Team player with a positive, professional, can-do attitude.
    • High level of organization and the ability to multi-task.
      • Passionate about Hubbard House’s mission of Every Relationship Violence-Free.
Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities  include, but are not limited to, assisting members of the Development team with:

  • Writing press releases, media alerts, calendar listings and other pr/marketing materials as needed.
  • Assisting with the planning and logistics for Hubbard House special events including annual Domestic

Violence Awareness Month public relations campaign and press conference, Barbara Ann Campbell Memorial Breakfast, Setting the Pace for Peace Domestic Violence Awareness Walk, and other events as directed.

  • Assisting with the management of the organization’s social media sites including Face book, Twitter, Linkedln, You Tube, Word press, Community Column, etc.
  • Tracking and organizing press clippings.
    • Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
