UNF Career Services

The UNF Career Services was established to provide customized career development services for students. Staff in this center have over 25 years of combined experience providing career services on a college campus and specifically at the University of North Florida. Career Services aims to facilitate an enhanced career focused culture and empower students to position themselves as employees of choice for a diverse array of career opportunities. We teach, challenge and support students in discovering rewarding careers and equip them with career education, professional skills, resources and strategies to successfully connect with employers.

Communication Intern – Job Description

Assist with the following tasks:

• Develop marketing content and strategy to reach the student demographic to increase awareness and engagement with programs, services and resources.
• Research career trends, job postings and other important information to communicate to students
• Plan and execute campaigns on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
• Create promotional materials to be distributed across campus for events and programs
• Plan and implement special events and programs – including photography of events
• Collaborate with University departments to cross-promote programs and services relevant to the student population
• Maintain website content and design
• Create and manage promotional products and displays

Preferred Skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Photography
• Canva/Adobe Creative Suite
• Website development
• Experience using: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest
