Jacksonville Broadcasters Association

The Jacksonville Broadcasters Association wants a Public Relations/Advertising student who is organized, a self-starter, a good content writer, and has an understanding of social media platforms to assist in the promotion of the department’s events and activities. It is a plus if the student has an understanding of copyright law and has some experience with graphic design programs.

Responsibilities include:

Provide Social Media support for our non-profit organization.

Promote the organization’s mission through social media platforms.

Use our calendar of events to develop a content calendar for social media platforms.

Design and Create social media posts and templates promoting our website, events, and people.

Manage current content to use on JBA social media accounts which include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and any others that seem appropriate for promotions.

Create and maintain a schedule where posts are done at least once a week and use Hootsuite, Buffer or other programs to schedule postings after regular school and business hours.

Work with our Board members and act as the department’s brand ambassador on its social media platforms by engaging with social media followers online in a manner which appropriately represents the department and university and complies with policy and procedure.

Maintain a library of digital media contact on behalf of the department which includes posts, images, video links, etc.

Evaluate analytics and insights on the department’s social media platforms and create reports when needed. This data will be used to assess the engagement of the department’s various sites.

Work with the Board of Directors on a monthly newsletter with current trends or historical references.

And any additional duties which may be assigned as needed.
