Wingard is a full-service marketing and communications firm that offers everything from branding and identity design to public relations and web development for client-partners in Northeast Florida and beyond. We craft compelling campaigns to extend the reach of clients’ unique voices with consistency and clarity.
Through this professional development program the intern will learn the basics of full-service communications firms, account management, client relations and media relations. From newsrooms to corporate headquarters, Wingard’s public relations team has experience in all aspects of the communications world. Our team offers expert training to interns by providing opportunities to apply skills learned in college to real world communications management.
The internship tasks include (but are not limited to):
- Monitor internal team and client meetings
- Organize tasks in our project management platform, Wrike
- Draft pitches, press releases and media alerts
- Monitor media and manage coverage reports in our news tracking software, Critical Mention
- Create prep sheets for clients
- On-site accompaniment for client interviews (assisting one of our PR team members)
- Drafting award outlines for clients
