Jacksonville Country Day School

Jacksonville Country Day School (JCDS), a leading private school in Jacksonville, FL, founded in 1960, empowers children with the skills they will need to succeed in the 21st century. JCDS is dedicated to academic excellence, as well as developing character and healthy lifestyles. JCDS educates children from Pre-K 3 through sixth grade in a nurturing and multicultural environment. JCDS is a 501c3 non-profit.

JCDS would like to offer an internship to a communications major at the University of North Florida. The intern’s hours are flexible within the office hours of 8:00 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The intern will have a dedicated space to work, IT resources (Mac proficiency helpful), and will be assigned to help with:

• Research, writing, and distributing press releases and blog posts

• Social media development across our platforms and explore new ones

• Use photos and videos to tell our school’s story

• Help coordinate our annual publications/in-house magazine

• Assist with internal and external emails and newsletters

This internship is an opportunity to learn about communications in a non-profit with an education focus in a supportive environment.
