UNF College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest of the five colleges that make up the University of North Florida. The College consists of fifteen academic units and houses a variety of centers and programs. We offer undergraduate and graduate majors in a broad range of disciplines including the arts and humanities, as well as natural and social sciences and interdisciplinary studies. The College of Arts and Sciences wants an intern to work in the Dean’s office. The student duties are below.

Communication Intern – JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist with the following tasks:

• Develop marketing content and strategy to reach the student demographic to increase awareness and engagement with scholarship programs, services, and resources
• Assist with outbound communication to COAS students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors
• Assist with writing and promoting the work of our students and faculty
• Assist with communication to/for the COAS Dean’s Leadership Council
• Plan and implement special events and programs — including photography of events
• Collaborate with University departments to cross-promote programs and services to the student population
• Work with COAS Associate Directors to plan and execute scholarship campaigns on social media platforms

Preferred Skills:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience and understanding of social media platforms
• Attention to detail
• Photography (no required)
• Work Hours:

• Variable hours Monday-Friday up to 20 per week
• Occasional evening & weekends
