Jacksonville Magazine

As an editorial intern, your duties will be as follows:

• Pitching story ideas
• Writing both shorts and feature-length pieces for our publications, website and social media.
• Editing proofs of stories, including those other than your own.
• Assisting with magazine special events including taking photos, helping with set up and break down.
• Contributing to our social media channels including writing posts and taking photos, even posting materials on our website.
• Assisting magazine staff with other typical office duties, helping with deliveries to clients, preparing 904 Paper Co. artwork to be mailed to customers, etc. 
• Adhering to deadlines.
• Interviewing local news makers, restaurant owners, artists, etc.
• Asking questions. Writing stories for magazines isn’t always easy, and we welcome questions. If you don’t understand something, feel free to ask for help.
