Journalism/Production Intern

Job Description

  • Intern will produce short news-type segments (Inside Swoop in 90) using The Associated Press services on current events to be published on the school’s Facebook platform and on the IGTV and Face book platforms for Inside Swook in 90.
  • The ideal candidate for the internship will have the responsibility to write, produce and host a weekly TV show for the School of Communication. Students should be familiar with the process of writing and producing a TV show, skills acquired in either RTV3220c (Inside Swoop) or JOU4348 (Inside Jax). This internship is for a Multimedia Journalism/Production students with experience , and will commence quickly with each semester wit the production of “CommConnect” the School of Communication weekly informative social media broadcast.
  • Additionally, the intern will break down CommConnectTV into CommConnectSocial videos and elements to be used in daily postings on the School of Communication’s social platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook…)
  • Interns will collaborate with other School of Communication interns to complete projects for several special events hosted by the school and promote them with short video presentations for social platforms. Examples of such events are listed below:
    • Media Week
    • Internship Fair
    • Study Abroad Preview/Review opportunities & rewards
    • Advising Information
    • Classroom Activities (mock-trials-campaigns, etc.)
    • Information on Clubs & Club Events
