UNF Marketing and Communications (Social Media)

The UNF Social Media Team in the department of Marketing and Communications manages the main social media accounts and leads the University’s communication in strategic social media efforts. We aim to provide the Osprey community with unique, creative, informative, engaging and consistent content as well as guidance and best practices to help the UNF community manage departmental social media channels.

Social Media Internship:

Students who intern with the University of North Florida’s social media team will gain professional social media
experience as well as the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the communications industry. Interns are
expected to complete the following tasks during their time with our team:

• Develop content for official UNF social media channels
• Research other universities and colleges for content inspiration
• Manage content calendars
• Schedule and implement student takeovers on Instagram
• Collect monthly analytical data for each platform
• Attend events when applicable
• Perform writing tasks for social media content and campaigns
• Assist with the development and execution of social media campaigns
• Serve as a social media ambassador on the University’s social media platforms
• Experiment with photography, graphic design and videography
