Clay County Habitat for Humanity requests an intern to assist in the communication efforts of the organization. This position would primarily be a remote internship with a few in-person opportunities. Our mission is to build safe, decent and affordable housing in partnership with the community and God’s people in need. Please see the responsibilities and requirements listed below.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in transitioning in-person activities to virtual platforms due to Covid-19 (ex.: home dedications)
• Fully support Clay County Habitat’s marketing strategy and execute it in different phases
• Create engaging content
• Communicate Clay County Habitat’s mission and success stories
• Effectively utilize and support Clay County Habitat’s social media calendar
• Assist in administrative duties
• Attend various events (virtually due to Covid-19)
• Write press releases and other marketing materials
• Research current marketing trends and potential grant opportunities
• Assist in the various stages of event preparation for If These Walls Could Talk

Requirements:

• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
• Understanding of the different social networks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for the PR/Marketing and the nonprofit industry

An intern will gain practical nonprofit experience in the Development department through community and organization meetings. Interns will be mentored and provided training opportunities with a public relation and nonprofit professional.
