Communications: Production Internship

Job Description:

  • Report to the Multimedia department on a week-by-week basis to assist creating video and photo content for the Jacksonville Sharks, Attack Dance Team, and Team Sponsors. All Production Students will report directly to Multimedia Director for assignments and only to the Director of Multimedia for the Jacksonville Sharks.
  • Using the Adobe Creative Suite students will edit and produce content for the Jacksonville Sharks Game Day Video Boards, YouTube Channel, Social Media Outlets, YouTube Live Broadcast Feeds, and Television.
  • Students will be heavily involved in content mangagement which will include logging footage, labeling content folders, and transferring content using WD Hard Drives and online storage systems including Google Drive, WeTransfer, and Dropbox.
  • Students will be heavily involved in maintaining, updating, and organizing the team’s YouTube channels and will be involved in creating team YouTube playlists and YouTube Live Streams Broadcasts of live events including press conferences and other non-game day events.
  • Students will serve multiple roles on the Sharks production team per project type. These roles may include camera operator, camera assistant, production assistant, editor, assignment editor, and sound engineer.
  • Students will work with other Communications students to help with video press coverage needs that may include video interviews with players, coaches, and staff during game days, live events, community events and other team functions.
  • Students will shoot gather video content on game days, training camp, practices, community events and other live events. Content requests to students will be provided by the multimedia director. This content may benefit other team departments including sales, operations, dance team, football operations, community relations, and other team departments as the Multimedia department was designed to serve all teams’ digital content needs.
  • Once hired, students must be available to attend all Jacksonville Sharks home games or all remaining home games. In addition, students will be required to work before, during, and after the games to assist Shark’s staff.
  • Students must be familiar in using video equipment including DSLR Cameras, GoPro, Digital Photography Cameras, and editing software from the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Students must be familiar using live stream tools for social media including Facebook Live, Instagram Live, and Twitter Live.
