UNF Inside Swoop Social Media

Inside Swoop in 90, is a program sponsored by the UNF School of Communication internship for Digital Video Production, Multimedia Journalism, and Public Relations/Advertising students. The student interns produce and promote news, sports, entertainment and weather updates daily.

Social Media Internship

The UNF School of Communication wants a student who is organized, a self-starter, good content writer, and has an understanding of social media platforms to assist in the promotion of the School of Communication’s brand of News, Sports, Entertainment and Social Broadcasting through its daily broadcasts of “Inside Swoop in 90.” It is a plus if student has an understanding of copyright law and has some experience with graphic design programs.

This is a daily (M-F spring/fall terms) or M-Th summer term) schedule with the following duties below.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain a schedule of postings for all team interns and volunteers for the brand of “Inside Swoop.”
  • The student intern will also be solely responsible for creating the image of each semester’s team profiles, and maintaining the social media presence daily of the Inside Swoop team activities through posting of the multiple daily shows produced by other School of Communication interns.
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter, who seeks responsibility and can work independently with little supervision. In addition, the candidate will work as a team member of Inside Swoop and must work well with others.
  • This opportunity is offered to a student who seeks experience in social media management and promotion of the products on social platforms. The main job of the social media intern is to promote the Inside Swoop brand through daily postings on the social media platforms of IGTV, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Additionally, the ideal candidate will create an end of the semester analytical report on the insights of the social media platforms.
  • The ideal student will host a podcast which explores the behind the scenes atmosphere of Inside Swoop and may also explore their own capabilities of hosting if they choose to do so.
  • Any additional duties may be assigned as needed.
