Sunshine Organics and Compost

Sunshine Organics and Compost launched in 2020 and is the only commercial composting facility between Atlanta and Orlando. Compost is the process of utilizing decaying organic material to make fertilizer and soil amendments. Essentially saving material from rotting in a landfill. Sunshine Organics and Compost will divert 2,000 tons of food waste and yard waste from the landfill each month.

The organization wants and intern to:

• Generate social media posts with compost education.
• Create a marketing postcards on at least one focus topic, including but not limited to: landfill diversion, biochar, agricultural soil use, chemical fertilizers, compost environmental benefits.
• Write news release cover relevant topics related to composting and/or Sunshine ‘s business programs.
• Create and collect a farm survey.
• Design quarterly newsletters and create content samples.
• Design various logos for Sunshine’s programs.
